My husband of 15 years and I have 3 orange-auburn-headed kiddos (go figure!). We homeschool and homebirth, cloth diaper & grow some of our food. Yes, I’m one of THEM! It was after my first 2 c-secttions that I started learning a more natural way of living. This eventually lead to our first homebirth. I didn’t have a photographer for that amazing experience and I hope I can help other families from making that mistake. I am giddy around pregnant moms and probably seem a bit crazy when I make silly sounds over and over about how cute their belly is. I might cry while photographing a birth, but it’s only because it brings me back to my own (two) c-sections and then my amazing water- home-birth. Being around newborns is amazing to me. It’s the same as planting a seed in the ground and a couple of months later finding a living, fully-bloomed, producing plant.
