Hello-- my name is Jenn Adams and I have been apprenticing with Beth since August 2009.  Not long after I graduated from Bible College, I felt led to research midwifery and learn the requirements to become a midwife. I knew right away that this was something that I would love.

Shortly thereafter, I was apprenticing with Beth. I am also taking an online course called Midwife-To-Be in order to further my midwifery training.  Many times, people are surprised to learn that women still have their babies at home. But I believe that birthing at home is safe and natural and essentially best for the baby and the mother.  In fact, I was born at home and delivered by a midwife!

My heart’s desire is to help women and to encourage them that their bodies were designed for natural childbirth.  I am enjoying every moment of my training, and I am excited that I am learning alongside my mom, who is also apprenticing with Beth.  I look forward to learning more and expanding my knowledge and love for midwifery. Someday I hope to take the skills I learn and use them on the mission field and serve others through midwifery.
